Drama broke in a public space after a young lady proposed to her alleged boyfriend of 6 years and he refused to accept the ring.

A video making the rounds on social media captured the moment a romantic gesture turned sour in a matter of seconds.

The lady had gone on one knee to ask her boyfriend of six years to take her hand in marriage but was met with shock.

The boyfriend, however, refused to accept the proposal over reasons best known to him; which triggered an emotional reaction from the lady.

Efforts to bring the lady from her knees proved abortive as the tried hiding his face from the multiple cameras flashing on his face.
